Making a rain gauge from a soda bottle. Covering the cut edge w/tape so it’s not sharp. Sand-filled bottom so it won’t blow away and to provide a starting point for the rain. Marking one inch increments starting from the saturated sand starting point. The finished product! Ready for this weekend’s rain!
